The department has four main research lines
- Climate change and ecosystem functioning
- Plant-soil-microbe interactions
- Species interactions and evolutionary adaptation
- Stress ecology and ecological genomics
Our research approach utilizes combinations of field research, experiments in greenhouses, test gardens and climate rooms, and simulation modeling. This allows us to address questions concerning both fundamental insight into underlying mechanisms, and relevance for practical applications.
The expertise of our employees is complementary, so that the entire range of questions in the field of modern ecology and evolution science can be investigated.
